Many manufacturers make the stone fillers that just fill the holes. We are not impressed with their products or thought process. We use Sentura – a two part pigmented flexible solvent based epoxy/resin, and color match the product to the travertine color. Sentura will not sag nor will it pop out of the hole overtime. With a 1200psi adhesion, it will make the edges of the hole structurally sound and very durable. This is how travertine holes are filled, and nothing short of amazing.

After we clean the stone with a penetrating cleaner, we always seal it. Travertine is very beautiful, but it is just like sand at the beach that can etch stain and scratch very easily. Sealing the stone with a solvent based natural look penetrating sealer is key to preserve its beauty. The sealer soaks very deep into travertine and leaves it with an invisible hydrophobic surface.
