Travertine Tile Sealing in NYC | Stone Restoration | D’Sapone

Travertine sealing re-imagined.

Before the stone is sealed, it should always be cleaned, prepped and sanitized allowing sealers to soak deep into the surface and prevent future staining. Our Queens artists apply a patented cleaner, eliminating all the deep stains, mold and mildew. Then, they perform a patented travertine tile sealing in NYC using natural look sealers, penetrating deep while creating a hydrophobic surface.

Travertine sealing should always be performed after cleaning to keep the beauty of the stone. Not only do we seal travertine, we waterproof the entire surface with Repela-Bond – a natural look clear resin sealer. Once fluids are poured on the stone, it will have a hydrophilic appearance. Repela-Bond will not 100% prevent the passage of acids, as it doesn’t close all the travertine pores.

Clear topical sealing.

We use Celine – a clear topical solvent based sealer to perform a travertine tile sealing in NYC. It waterproofs the stone and adds a refined beauty. It also closes all the stone pores preventing the passage of acids or moisture, causing etching, stains and mold. Celine achieves longevity on countertops, floors and in showers.

Travertine floors.
Sealing pushed even further.

Protecting travertine floors from harmful bacteria, stains, mold and etching has become second nature to us. We seal the stone with Celine – the most powerful sealer, or Repela-Bond, delivering strong protection while leaving floors with a lush natural look. Before the sealing process, we can also polish travertine floors.
