Travertine Shower | Travertine Shower Restoration in Tulsa, OK

A stain free travertine shower.

Travertine is a very beautiful, but porous stone that causes mold, mildew and stain issues in the shower environment. The worst part of the stone and what our Tulsa artists do about it are described below…

Services below are included.

Travertine cleaning. Sanitizing.

We clean, prep and sanitize the travertine removing stains and sealers from the stone. Travertine cleaning, prepping and sanitizing are the three most important processes to achieve a successful restoration.

No caulk. No peeling.
No mold.

Caulk is just a burden, ruining the entire shower within months. It peels and wears off the surface, causing the occurrence of mold, mildew and stains. Your artist will eliminate the caulk and fill all the corners with Sentura – a two part pigmented solvent epoxy/resin sealant.

Sealing grout. Preventing stains.

Grout is very porous, allowing the passage of liquids and moisture. That’s what causes mold and stains that grow throughout the entire surface. We prevent the grout from retaining liquids with Caponi® – a two part pigmented titanium resin sealer.

Travertine sealing.
Creating a hydrophobic surface.

After we seal the grout, we apply a clear invisible sealer – Repela-Bond to the travertine. It penetrates deep into the stone and creates a hydrophobic surface, preventing the occurrence of mold and stains. Repela-Bond doesn’t close all the travertine pores, as it allows the stone to breathe.

A travertine shower
with no efflorescence.

Efflorescence is a burden in showers. The migration of soluble salts, originating from masonry, invites efflorescence that damages all the cement based materials. Our Tulsa artists eliminate this issue from the root and offer a healthy travertine shower, achieving a new look.

Travertine hole filling. And then some.

Most contractors fill the travertine holes with grout or regular fillers, which is just a temporary cure with an unpleasant looking repair. We rectify this issue with Sentura, which will never pop out. It can be pigmented in over 40 different colors delivering that lush natural look.
