Our first step to bring your etched or dull travertine to that mirror lush finish – etching the surface with Zido. We etch travertine to open all the stone pores and remove the stains and sheen.

stone, preventing etching.
Notice the image to the left, the top stone – we applied Celine, a clear resin sealer that creates a hydrophobic surface preventing an acid from etching travertine. The bottom stone is absorbing acid, causing etching. Simply polishing travertine with an old method only brings a sheen to the stone, but when a regular sealer is used, it will etch again. Our patent polishing process eliminates the future etching issue.

After the Celine has dried and clear resins are embedded in the stone, we polish travertine. During the travertine polishing process, the stone and clear resin coating, both are polished to a mirror finish. Once we polish travertine, the surface will never be etched by a muriatic acid. It is the art of process that makes our team full of passion.

Will Celine make my floor slippery?
Once we polish travertine stone, the surface will become slippery with water on the floor.
Will Celine change the look of my stone?
It will enhance darker stones and will not change the look on lighter stones.
How long will it take for the stone to dry?
Walk on the floor within 4 hours and use counter-tops in 6 hours. The sealer itself will dry in 30 minutes, but there is a cure time.
