Natural Stone Shower Restorations. And Nothing Short of Perfection.

D'Sapone Admin, April 6, 2017

Showers – the major part of a maintenance list, as they receive lots of wear and tear every day. They are the most humidity areas in homes or buildings with all the moisture. Installing natural stone – marble, slate and travertine, within showers brings a touch of nature with a wide range of varieties, but it can be a burden for you if the proper care is not taken. Restoring the stone with big box stores’ cleaners and sealers will cause staining and etching issues while damaging the integrity of the surface.

There’s More to Love with Marble:

Marble looks classy, but it can easily lose its luster in wet settings as it is just like sand on the beach, absorbing moisture that gives birth to mold and mildew. We clean the stone using a patented deep penetrating cleaner – Imperia, cleaning and sanitizes the tile and grout while releasing all the soap scum, etching, stains, mold and mildew. Our incredible marble sealing process prevents stains and the growth of mold for a lifetime. We coat the stone with Repela-Bond – an invisible clear resin water based sealer, delivering a bold hydrophobic appearance.

Contractors install the travertine making a statement that it will last an eternity. Only the correct care or maintenance can keep its durability. It comes with pores that will open once we perform tile cleaning and will easily allow the passage of liquids, causing mold and stains. After the cleaning process, it needs to be sealed with a very high quality sealer, closing all its pores. Sealing the travertine with Celine – a clear topical solvent based clear resin sealer, not just coats the stone, it makes the travertine waterproof while penetrating deep into the stone. Celine leaves the shower with an astonishing sheen.

Slate Stone Restorations. And Then Some.

Slate looks awesome with its color variations. Available in a rage of earth-tone colors, the stone adds a rustic touch to showers. It continuously retains moisture in wet settings that makes it look mediocre. We clean the slate with an astonishingly manufactured cleaner, removing all the damages. Then, we perform slate sealing preventing it from allowing the passage of liquids. Once we seal the stone, its stunning look will come to life.

NOTE: After we clean and seal the marble and travertine, we can also polish them to that fresh lush sheen, which once glistened across the surface.

These were our natural stone shower restoration processes that will bring back that look to the stone and grout they deserve.

What is the average cost of cleaning and sealing an average size stone shower? Having issues with dark spots in corners that I clean with OTC Cleaners but the spots keep coming back.
